<pullquote>
The pullquote element is used for a key phrase, quotation or excerpt that has been pulled from an article and used as a page layout graphic element. In contrast to blockquote, a pullquote is part of the text in the publication or on the page, and does not refer to an outside source.
Notes
- Use
<pullquote>for emphasised excerpts that already appear in the surrounding text (or are very close paraphrases). - Use
<blockquote>instead for external quotations that are not derived from the surrounding paragraph. - A pullquote contains only inline text.
